Why add BEC5® Curaderm topical cream to your routine?
If you’re dealing with age spots or visible signs of sun damage, especially common with long-term exposure, BEC5® Curaderm provides a targeted, vegan-friendly solution that fits seamlessly into your skincare and supplement wellness plan. It complements internal health routines by supporting external skin clarity and regeneration — your skin is the biggest organ, it’s important to take extra care with it.
What does BEC5® Curaderm cream contain?
Curaderm cream (20g) is formulated with Solasodine Glycosides (BEC) as its key active component. The formula is supported by salicylic acid and urea, included at higher levels to enhance the activity of BEC. Due to the strength of these supporting ingredients, salicylic acid and urea may cause skin irritation in some individuals.
What is BEC5® used for?
This cream is used to treat areas if the skin that may have become discoloured, thickened or scaly as a result of exposure to sun (UV) light. These areas of the skin are known as keratoses.
Before you use BEC5® Curaderm Cream
Before applying Curaderm topical cream, inform your healthcare professional if you have any known allergies to medications, foods, preservatives, or other substances.
The active BEC component used in BEC5® Curaderm topical cream is derived from compounds found in eggplant, so individuals with an eggplant allergy should seek medical advice before use.
Additionally, do not use Curaderm cream if you have a known allergy to aspirin or salicylates.

How to use BEC5 ® Curaderm cream
Follow all information given by your health professional carefully. They may be slightly different from the information contained in this leaflet. If you do not understand the directions for use ask your health professional for help.
BEC5® is used only to treat external areas of the skin. The treatment areas may be characterized by swelling, thickening, redness or lesions. Care should be taken NOT to apply BEC5® cream to the unaffected areas. Areas near the eyes or lips should be treated very carefully.
- BEC5® should be applied a minimum of two times per day, and may be used as frequently as ten applications daily if required.
- The treated area must be kept covered with a suitable dressing, such as micropore tape, at all times.
- Ensure the application site remains moist and does not dry out during treatment.
- The area should be treated until it has re-grown with new skin.
Before each application of BEC5® topical treatment
- Firstly cleanse the skin by applying a good antiseptic solution, massaging into the site and then rinsing clean under running water. This ensures removal of dead cells that might otherwise from a barrier against the penetration of BEC5®.
- Dry the site thoroughly, and then apply a thick layer of BEC5® across the treatment site. Cover with a dressing (micro pore). Wash hands after application.
How much BEC5® to use
Depending on the size of the area to be treated, between approximately 0.1 and 0.5g of cream may be required for each treatment. The total area of skin treated with BEC5 should not exceed 25cm squared at any one time. If larger areas require treatment extra care should be taken.
When to use BEC5® and what to expect
BEC5® topical treatment should be applied no less than twice per day. During treatment, it is common to notice redness and swelling in the treated area. Some users may also feel tingling or mild discomfort lasting 30–60 minutes after application; this response is considered normal.
As treatment progresses, a typical sequence may occur: initial redness, followed by surface breakdown, possible ulceration, and gradual removal of unwanted skin cells. This is then followed by the regeneration of healthy skin tissue. Treatment areas may temporarily appear worse before improvement becomes visible.
How long to continue using BEC5®
A standard course of Curaderm cream treatment may range from 7 to 60 days, depending on how often the product is applied and individual skin sensitivity. Once swelling has reduced and the skin appears restored, treatment should be stopped, and any remaining redness will slowly subside.
In some cases, a longer treatment period may be required. When uncertain, continuing treatment for a little longer may help reduce the risk of recurrence. In such situations, applications should continue until the affected area has fully regenerated with new skin tissue.
If a dose is missed
Maintaining a consistent application schedule is important. Missing multiple applications may allow healthy skin to grow over the lesion, which can obscure the area and result in incomplete treatment. If an application is accidentally missed, simply resume using BEC5® Curaderm cream at least twice daily, or follow your original instructions.
If you use too much Curaderm cream
Wipe away any excess and then wash BEC5® cream from the affected areas using soap and water.
The shelf life of BEC5®
The shelf life of Curaderm BEC5® is 5 years. Each bottle is date stamped on the crimping.
Studies have been performed over a 5-year period with testing every 3 months to check the effectiveness of the glycosides in Curaderm BEC5® and scientific data shows that the glycosides are effective for 5 years.
Curaderm BEC5® should be stored in the fridge. If it is exposed to an environment of 60 – 70 degree Celsius (140 – 158 degrees Fahrenheit) the active ingredients could separate. This temperature can be reached in a car on a hot summer’s day.
Curaderm BEC5® should be kept below 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) and it will maintain its shelf life of at least 5 years.
